Rebecca will chat about the importance of understanding the story behind the building/landmark, the research, sourcing the black & white 'Hidden Histories', the layering technique, and the importance of writing up the documentation that accompanies each piece.

See how Steph Jansen turns wool tops, yarns and fabrics into her stunning, painterly felt landscapes as she demonstrates her techniques. Steph will be creating in the gallery for a couple of hours, so that you can stay and watch a while, and ask questions.

Prize-winning painter, Peter Davis MAFA, will be talking to us about the themes in his urban landscapes and portraits. He will also be taking a look back at the work of Edward Hopper, to show us another artist who has documented the era in which they lived. This fascinating and enjoyable talk will last approximately 45 minutes and will appeal to people of all ages who appreciate art and art history.

Join Patty for an introduction to the arcane world of papier mâché. She will be bringing a collection of her creatures at various stages of construction and will be demonstrating some of her working practices and materials (including her famous flour and water paste recipe!) There will also be an opportunity to sign up for one of her workshops where you can learn how to make your own.
