Deborah Ann Graham

Deborah Ann Graham is a painter based in Bollington, Cheshire. Her paintings are involved in capturing the adventure of life as a journey in paint turning through the seasons. Her painting style has developed and grown over the decades, now finding an approach that offers her the freedom to produce works that are gestural and abstract yet evocative of her chosen subject.

Deborah was educated in Carlisle, where she attended the Cumbria Collage of Art and Design, from there moving to Nottingham to do a BA (hon) Degree in Fine Art at Trent Polytechnic, graduating 1987. Recently enjoying a year of further study on the Turps Art School correspondence course.

Deborah’s current works are landscape based, usually an exploration of her local environment on daily walks from her home.

She works in a range of drawing and painting mediums, frequently mixed, often dictated by location and circumstance when out and about gathering the many studies she uses for her studio works. For her studio paintings she stays predominantly with oil, often using fine brushes and oil sticks to make marks suggestive of the sensory experience of time and place.

Deborah has exhibited locally both in group shows and solo exhibitions.
